Intersectionality allows us to be holistic and inclusive

Our approach

IIA’s work is rooted in the principle of “nothing about us without us.” We believe the people most affected by a challenge should have a meaningful voice in shaping the programs, strategies, and solutions intended to support them. We bring together community voice, organizational expertise, research and evaluation, strategic planning, program design, implementation, and continuous improvement to turn insight into action.

Providing you with transformative work

Our work begins with relationships—bringing the right people together, building trust, and turning shared concern into coordinated action. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures need to be seen and represented in our work. To accomplish this, we approach our work in an inclusive manner with the utmost respect for the communities we work in and with.

  • Community Engagement & Facilitation

We design and facilitate community engagement processes that bring residents, organizations, public agencies, and other partners into planning and decision-making.
